Last Monday was Vayda's first day of Preschool! I was fine and more excited than anything for her...She's been so ready for school! Vic, well, he was not taking it so easy lol. Vayda I think was more excited than ever to have new friends.

I got to drop her off, pick her up and catch up on how it went all on the ride home. But it quickly went back to normal the next day and it hit me...my baby is in school! Because of my work schedule and her school schedule I can't drop her off and pick her up...isn't that what moms do?!? I was a mess that Tuesday. Emotional mess to say the least. It was hard getting over the fact that I can't watch her and see how she's interacting with the kids and her teachers the entire time...and making sure she's paying attention, ugh that's the hardest. I have to let go a little. It's not the first time, but the first time I had to, it was when I came back to work and she was with family. I don't think it gets better than that. This time it's with strangers :(. I'm not there to make sure  she's not in danger, being impolite, not eating or has dirty hands. This is not fair, but this is life. All I can do is trust that she's being watched over. You better believe my mama bear instincts are higher than ever now =P.

It's been two weeks now and I think we are getting into the new groove of things...Vayda is loving her new friends, teachers and the playground of course :).

Party Mode

With Lori's 1st birthday quickly approaching I am in full on party-planning-mode. All I think about is my to-do list and shopping list. I double check it every other hour making sure I didn't leave anything out. And thanks to Pinterest I add something new every other hour =\. For her party I won't be working on another pinata...I think Vayda's was my first and last. At least for a few years. But I do have a few things up my sleeve. I'm hoping it all turns out they way it looks in my head lol. 

I'm so excited and also in shock that our little garbage pale kid is turning ONE. This is insane to me. No wonder people have so many kids, time really does fly! And no, that was not a hint that we are working on more....at all. I love our little family of 4.

Dear Husband, 

I know in my heart of hearts everything will be ok. We are going to get through this and be able to look back and  say, "pssh. Oh that 'ol thing?!". 

Until then, I decided I'm going to be a ultra-protective, take over and manage everything,

 soup nazi kind of wife lol (I'm trying to stay tough, thank you for being so tough).

Dear VaydaCakes, 

When you said "My bones will bounce if I swallow my gum" I could not stop laughing. It still makes me smile when I think about it. I love you goober butt. 

Dear Lucky, 

It's been sooo much fun watching you be a little daredevil this week! All of your standing up without holding on and clapping at the same time is so much fun to watch. No rush on walking though, ok? I love you Darling. 

Dear new job, 

I am kind of loving you so far. Let's keep it like that, ;).

Dear BloggiBuddies, 

Anyone experience arrhythmia and or know someone that has and has had to have their heart shocked back into a normal rhythm? Doing research on electrophysiology and any insight, feedback, similar experiences would be helpful to hear.

Happy 8 months Lori girl!

Our little Lucky Lori is 8 months old today!! It really is ridiculous how time flies!

She crawls, pulls herself up to stand, babbles like it's going out of style (said Mama once eee!) and will eat anything you let her eat haha.

Lori Darling, Our Little Bean Sprout.

Lori is now 7 going on 8 months old! She has been eating baby food since 4 months and I swear she can not wait to bite into some solid food! This girl seems to be always hungry haha. She has 2 more teeth coming in, which will make a total of 9 teeth. And she's crawling!! She began crawling last week and is getting quicker by the second. She also just began pulling herself up to stand on the couch, table etc...time really does fly by too fast.

7 Weeks

It's been 7 weeks now since Lucky Lori has graced us with her presence. I'm glad to say things are still going well. There are still bumps here and there but I'm pretty sure the bumpy road is permanent lol. I think if it's not bumpy...there's something wrong!

Lori is still really calm for the most part. I will say she is growing into her lungs though, that girl has a good cry! For the last week or two she has been responding back to us more and more. I love it! I can see her following me around the room and smiling back when I talk to her...that has to be the sweetest thing in the world.

Vayda is still good with her (and getting better with us I might say as well...yay!!). She is definitely protective of little Lori. It's great to see Vayda loving her little sister. She has even chimed in lately when Lori starts to cry, saying "Lori, Lori...it's ok. We're right here". If you know our VaydaCakes, you know that she has been the queen of ears since she could reach ours. Don't know what I mean? Ever since she could reach our ears she began to touch them which was soothing to her. That was our little sign to know she was sleepy or falling asleep. Well I had to share this picture, I thought it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. Here is Vayda now touching Lori's ear as she (Vay) was falling asleep. Just a little tender moment...


Rita, Juan & Lucia are coming into town tomorrow for Megan and Sergio's wedding which is next week. I can't wait!! All of the family outings and having the little cousins together is going to be great. TONS of pictures to follow I'm sure!
