Victory!

And she did it. Yup, all on her little lonesome. I was in the kitchen and heard Vic yell…and I mean yell! LIBBY!! I freaked out and was thinking a million things that could have been going on. When I got in the room he was smiling from ear to ear. Vay looked up at me, pants down and all and said it, “I went poopoo in the potty!”. We were all SO excited! Haha is that what you expected?

Up until now Vayda has been scared to go #2 in the potty. Personally, I think she wanted to impress her Papa. He was out of town racing for 8 days and the morning he came back that is what she did. She woke him up and said she had to go. No coaxing, no bribes, she did just that…went poop. Amen for Poop in the potty!

Since then she has continued on a great path. Is this it? Only one in diapers? I’m not going to hold my breath, but man this feels great! You better believe we celebrated! We went to “Pizza Planet” aka John’s Incredible Pizza.

It's a Poopie One!

We got #2 people!!!!!

Yep, that’s right all on her own. I thought Vayda was playing around again and just saying that she went poopoo to get some stickers and candy but she really did!

I undressed her to take a bath and she took off to the bathroom (running of course, she runs faster naked haha) saying she was going to go potty. Of course I thought ok, we’ll try and then stick her in the tub.

Vay: “Momma, mooommmaa, MOM!”
Me: “Yes baby, I’m coming”

She was standing there buck-naked, pointing at a teeeeny tiny poop, but it was indeed in the potty! Oh my goodness, I have never been so excited about POOP! Haha. I was so happy and started to call Vic. “Papa come see, we have poopie!!”

It’s like I didn’t know what to do next, I just wanted to celebrate. Then it hit, wash your hands Vay! We washed her hands (and other parts ;). Got a sticker and 3 M&M’s. She was glowing!

She got in the tub and all that was going on was happy poop talk. We kept saying how proud of her we were...the little mocking bird that she is, she was also saying how proud she was.

After her bath I toweled her off and of course she ran away while saying, “Super Vayda". That girl loves being naked! Not even a minute later she said she wanted to go poopie again for candy. And what did she do?! Yep, poopie again haha! But this was not a teeny tiny one…it was not cute haha. We still celebrated and of course Vay got 3 more M&M’s. For your sake, I did not grab the camera for this one. After dumping out the poop in the [big] potty Vic and I asked each other, now how do we clean this out? Not only is this her first poopie time….it’s ours too! Nothing a little cleaner with bleach won’t kill ;).

Bottle Free and Potty!!

Last week we stuck to our guns finally took away the bottle….for good. Although I’m glad I don’t have to clean the tedious bottles anymore (which I began to DESPISE), Vay doesn’t want milk anymore L. We were going through Milk gallons like crazy, now she has no interest because it’s not in a bottle. She always asks for Juice or water in her sippy cups. When I try to out milk it’s a battle…I have to play along like it’s the most amazing drink in the world and momma wants it haha. Sometimes it works. For the time being I am making sure she takes her vitamins and gets nutrients elsewhere….suggestions welcome!

On another note, Vayda is beginning to go potty in the potty!!! Yay, Potty times!! No #2’s yet, but we have had a few #1’s! For a reward Vay is getting stickers and M&M’s. The first time she went pee in the potty I was so excited and gave her a dumb dumb….not a great idea =|. After a while Vay was still glowing (sugar glow I’m sure) and I couldn’t wait for her to be finished with it…not the best idea before bed time. From now on, M&M’s.
