Short Week & Giveaway Winner!

Hallelujah, we made it to the short Thanksgiving week! This weekend was ahh interesting. We are all still sick with this effing cold so the little we did do took a lot out of all of us. That's no fun. BUT we did put another offer in to a house, so cross your fingers we will hear back this week (today would be nice).

To keep myself occupied and hopefully off Redfin for a while, I'm going to focus on Thanksgiving. Our contributions this year are pies (my Oma's famous pecan pie is a must) and the Ham. If I have time I want to make some cranberry sauce. This Jezebel Cranberry sauce from the Reluctant Entertainer looks amazing.  Here's our weekend in pictures...minus the runny noses and snot tissues, you're welcome. ;)

blog face-lift & 1st giveaway...ever!

Monday Monday Monday

Well there are going to be some exciting changes around here! Nope, no house yet. But the bloggie-blog is getting a much needed face-lift! Back in September I purchased a fun new banner and button design from the talented Jess Craig over at irocksowhat. Definitely go check out her work, she does some fun stuff! Then I was strolling through livinginyellow (daily read for sure) and Erin was having a fun giveaway by Melissa Rose Designs. Not thinking I would win (but crossing my fingers) I WON! WHAT?! I love giveaways and to win one is that much sweeter lol. I was then in a dilemma...I just bought a banner what to do?! I saw the premade blog I won was valid till April so I was going to wait a while till I used it, but seriously who would wait? I was stoked! I asked Melissa if we could combine the two and being as amazeballs as she is, she said yes! :D

So soon enough (hopefully today) you will all get to see my new blog design! So excited to shareJ. Thank you SO much Jess for the awesome mug design and Melissa for the amazing and much needed layout!!!

Tuesday Treats

I've always complained to Vic that Tuesdays tend to be a little dull. Monday is well Monday, back to work and beginning of the week, Wednesday is humpday, Thursday is Friday eve and Friday is well...do I need to explain? So let's make Tuesday a little less dull and try something new:
