Here is just a quick hair tid-bit, this was found by lovely Jessica Scott via Pinterest (if you’re not on the site yet, beware it’s addicting but OH-SO-WONDERFUL). The original tutorial is found here, along with a video!
I tried this once before and I liked how it came out. Well to be honest I've actually been in either a side braid or bun for about 6 months now (since Lori was born) so any kind of "done up" hairdo that's easy to do on the go is quite amazing!
If you live in San Diego and have to drive during traffic hours you know that yesterday was horrible! With the Charger game going on at the Qualcomm stadium and the added construction on the 805 freeway it took me a grand total of 1 hour and 40 mins to get home. I had the choice of losing it on the freeway with traffic anxiety or...doing my hair for tomorrow! haha
Place headband over your hair and slowly pull hair from the sides over and under the band. Once you get to the back tuck the remaining hair under. Kinda cute if you just stop there, huh? |
Rough night...Lori was up all night. |
Out of control bangs! |
Remove the band and voila! Curls! No heat baby =] |
Disclaimer: The traffic was dead still when I did this in the car.

@Ritz, I have heard of it (remember I'm a infomercial junkie?!) haha, I thought about trying them but I read bad reviews =\.
@Jamie, thanks so much for following! I will def, stop by and link up! :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm so happy to have to have you. I returned the favor and followed back. Number 10!
Your family is adorable. I love the rosette on your daughters body suit. This hair tutorial is great too. I will have to try it when I get my hair grown out. I tried to convince the hubs to let me get clip-in extensions, but he was not havin' it. No fake boobs, no fake hair, those are the rules, he says. I'm happy he takes me as I am, flat chested and all. :)
My best tips for blogging are this:
Design. It is the first thing people see when coming to you. Don't change it up too often though. You want people to remember where they are. Get a button made up and start networking. Many people are willing to swap ad space, provided you keep theirs up as long as they have yours up. Comment a lot and leave your URL. I get plenty of other commenters who like my comment and stop on by. But do so tactfully. If someone is hosting a giveaway you are entering, don't leave your URL in your entry. That is a pet peeve of mine. I just sort of find it rude. Link up a lot too. I actually get most of my traffic from link ups at The Pleated Poppy. Facebook and/or Twitter for sure. Post daily if possible, even if it is just a picture. People don't frequent blogs that have nothing to say.
And most importantly, don't be discouraged by any lack of followers. You started this for you, not them. Happy blogging to you!

LOLOL The first morning picture made me laugh. I know that rough morning look ALL TOO WELL. I look like a beast in the mornings haha I love the way it turned out though, I have to try it
hahahah you know it Shann ;)
I love that you did that in the stop and go of horrible traffic! It turned out really pretty.
As far as blogging goes, it seems like some folks just have a Midas touch when it comes to attracting followers. I've seen blogs with 2000 followers and they plain stink! Boring content, bad pictures, no real meaning. Then, I've see AMAZING blogs with like four followers. So, I don't think that the number of followers one has is a big factor or how amazing their blog is. And, blogs are so subjective that you (everyone) can think yours is the most amazing blog (because subjectively, of course you love your blog because you created it!) but not everyone will be able to "see" its amazingess. OK, now I'm just rambling on!
Thanks for linking up to Project Pinterst!
Sarah:)
